“Doug has what it takes to provide the leadership we need in Trenton to start moving in the right direction”, stated Jefferson Mayor Russell Felter.

Cabana, who has already received the endorsement of the entire Morris County Freeholder Board, County Clerk Joan Bramhall, Sherriff Ed Rochford, and Surrogate John Pecoraro among others, was gratified by the support the mayors have offered his campaign. “I am humbled to have the support of these community leaders, with whom I’ve worked to help provide good government for the citizens of Morris County”, said Cabana.

“These local officials are on the front line dealing with the tough issues affecting their towns every day; making the tough decisions. For them to support my candidacy for the Assembly is truly an honor,”

The desire for experienced principled leadership representing Morris County in Trenton was echoed by Mayor Thomas Donadio, of Boonton Township, who stated, “I have confidence in Doug’s leadership. I’ve known him a long time”.

Doug Cabana has been a member of the Morris County Freeholder Board since 1997 and served as mayor of Boonton Township for six years and as a commtteeman for eleven years. In addition, Cabana is the past President of the New Jersey Association of Counties, and former President of the Morris County League of Municipalities.

“I am running for the Assembly in the 25th District to help keep Morris County strong,” said Cabana. “I have the leadership experience both at the county and municipal levels, and have had to make the tough decisions facing our county.”

“We live in hard economic times and we need to find ways to bring jobs back to Morris County and New Jersey. In addition, we need to have real property tax reform and reductions in the business tax”, stated Cabana. “This election is extremely important to the 25th District. We need leaders who have made the tough choices affecting the residents of our county. This election is about leadership, not entitlement.”

A long time champion for shared services in Morris County, Cabana wants to ensure that, “we must have local control of the shared services agenda. In Morris County we have seen real cost savings as a result of this approach and it must be expanded, not by Trenton mandate, but by local officials making the decisions.”

Cabana is an attorney who also has a degree in business management.
